Sue Anne is a Registered Psychologist with specialist training in Clinical Psychology. She brings over three decades of experience supporting individuals through emotional, psychological, and cognitive challenges.
Her career began in 1995 at the Institute of Mental Health & Woodbridge Hospital, where she later served as Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology. She went on to join the psychological services at Alexandra Hospital as Principal Clinical Psychologist, and in 2010 joined the pioneering team at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, helping to establish comprehensive mental health services for the northern region of Singapore.
Today, Sue Anne works exclusively in private practice, where she provides thoughtful, evidence‑based care in a warm and grounded therapeutic environment. She supports adults and older adults facing a wide range of concerns, including stress and burnout, mood and anxiety disorders, post‑traumatic stress disorder, women’s mental health, caregiver stress, and cognitive wellbeing. She also works with individuals navigating ADHD and other neurodiversity‑related challenges, helping them understand their strengths, manage daily demands, and build supportive strategies for thriving.
Her clinical work is informed by extensive experience in aged mental health. She has been part of multidisciplinary memory teams caring for individuals with cognitive impairment and dementia, and completed a training fellowship in Aged Mental Health at St Vincent’s Mental Health and the Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne.
Sue Anne is deeply committed to helping individuals navigate life’s complexities with clarity and compassion. She recognises that seeking support can feel daunting, and she approaches each person’s story with respect, warmth, and a belief in their capacity for growth. Guided by the biopsychosocial‑spiritual model, she adopts a holistic approach that honours the interconnectedness of mind, body, relationships, and meaning.
Beyond her clinical practice, Sue Anne has contributed significantly to the training of future psychologists. As a former Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, she supervised clinical trainees and conducted research on stress, optimism, dementia caregiver wellbeing, and lifestyle interventions for older adults. Her dedication to teaching has been recognised through multiple awards, including the 2022 NHG Teaching Award for Allied Health senior educators. She continues to provide clinical supervision and is also providing training to postgraduate students in Clinical and Professional Psychology programmes.
Outside of work, Sue Anne finds grounding in nature and joy in meaningful connections with family and friends. These moments of reflection and connection enrich her perspective and deepen her commitment to supporting others on their journey toward wellbeing.
