Laura is a clinical psychologist with training in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health concerns.
As a Clinical Psychologist, Laura is empathetic, responsive and warm. She creates a space for her clients that is calm and without judgement. Laura follows a feedback informed approach, and she deeply values where her clients are coming from and where they want to be.
Laura is committed to implementing evidence-based practice in a way that is thoughtful, collaborative, and effective. In addition to her clinical training, Laura is a researcher in social psychology, with particular interest in social identity, connection and belonging, and the human condition. She completed her training at The University of Queensland, where she maintains an Affiliate Fellowship with the School of Psychology. Her research ensures she remains in contact with best-practice evidence and methods.
Laura works with adults and young people 12 years and above, in the areas of mood disorders, anxiety, stress, life transitions and adjustment, health and wellbeing, as well as social isolation, identity, loneliness and belonging. Laura has completed research around the psychology of pain with various citations and articles, one of which can be read here: Ferris et al.
