Jillian is a Clinical Psychologist and has been practicing since 2008, she has experience working in a variety of settings including private practice, public hospitals, and community mental health units in both Queensland and Western Australia.

Jillian consults with adult clients across a range of presentations including; depression, anxiety, self-esteem and emotional issues, adjustment difficulties, existential concerns, trauma and abuse, family and relationship issues, eating disorders, problematic substance use and dependency, along with other mood and personality difficulties/disorders.

Jillian utilises a variety of therapeutic interventions to address the needs of her clients and has a particular interest in Psychodynamic Psychotherapies. Psychodynamic approaches seek to develop deep understanding into oneself and awareness of the characteristic patterns and experiences which shape an individual’s personality and life. Clients are encouraged to discuss whatever is on their mind and together with the therapist explore the emotions, decisions, behaviours, conflicts, and other complexities that emerge. Specific time and attention is also given to exploring the deeply personal relationship between patient and therapist in a safe and respectful manner. Psychodynamic Psychotherapy not only reduces and alleviates symptoms, it also facilitates the creation of a more meaningful life and satisfying relationships.

Jillian works at the Morningside practice, please call reception to make an appointment.
