Clinical Psychologist Morningside
Gino is a registered clinical psychologist who has experience working with adults and adolescents with a range of complex psychological difficulties. This includes anxiety, depression, complex trauma, eating disorders, substance misuse, psychosis and self harming behaviour. Gino mainly utilises cognitive-behavioural principles, but also incorporates systemic, schema and mindfulness approaches into his practice. He also appreciates the importance of developing a strong therapeutic alliance in assisting clients to bring about change.
Gino is an experienced supervisor, having supervised psychologists, clinical psychologists, psychologists on the Registrar program and psychologists completing their postgraduate training. He is also experienced in delivering workshops and lectures for health professionals, corporate clients, the general public and in university settings.
Gino has experience working both in Australia and the UK, where he completed his doctorate in clinical psychology. He was an Honorary Research Associate at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, where he undertook research in the use of rescripting imagery in individuals with psychosis. He has presented this research at national and international conferences and has submitted this research for publication. He has also published in the area of anxiety sensitivity in the Journal of Abnormal Psychology.
Gino works at the Morningside office on a Monday and Tuesday.
